Carl Rae Mcneal

Carl Rae McNeal, 87, of Amarillo, passed away Saturday January 23, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday January 27, 2021 at Llano East Cemetery with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday January 26, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Carl was born on April 5, 1933 in Clarendon. He married his sweetheart Geraldine “Jerrie” McNeal in 1968 here in Amarillo. He worked for the United States Postal service from 1957 - 1989 and is a United States Army Veteran. After retiring from the Post Office, Carl enjoyed showing miniature horses. He liked driving his Doctor’s buggy with his horse “Frosty”. Carl loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Taking them to breakfast every Saturday morning became a long standing tradition. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie and Buford Floyd; his wife, Geraldine and one son, Steve Favreau. Survivors include his two daughters, Pam Hutto and Jennifer Auburg (Danny) both of Amarillo; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
