Carla Deann Auzenne

September 18, 1976 — January 12, 2016

Carla was born September 18, 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas to Alvin and Brenda Walker. She spent her adolescence as a MK, missionary kid, with her family in Brazil. The family returned to Amarillo where Carla graduated from Tascosa High School in 1995. Carla attended Wayland Baptist University and West Texas A&M University, completing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2000. She married Joshua Auzenne in 1999 and their marriage was blessed with 3 children, Rendon (15). Jacob (9) and Gabriella (7). Carla enjoyed a career in nursing working at BSA, Northwest Texas and Triumph hospitals in Amarillo and Harris Euless Bedford Health System in the Dallas Metro. Carla enjoyed an active life snow skiing, hiking and camping with her family. She loved cooking and baking with her children and enjoyed social activities with her friends. Carla was respected and admired by her co-workers and supervisors. She loved the Lord and attended Freedom Baptist Church over the past several years. Carla is survived by her parents, Alvin and Brenda Walker of Amarillo; her children, Rendon, Jacob and Gabby Auzenne of Amarillo; sister, Emily Strain and husband Coty of Colorado City; brother, Matthew Walker and wife Lindsey of Andrews; paternal grandmother, Patsy Walker of Amarillo; maternal grandmother, Lois Burnett of Amarillo; father of her children, Dr. Joshua Auzenne of Amarillo and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Troy Walker and maternal grandfather, W.L. Burnett.
