Carla Willis Myers

Carla Willis Myers, 82, was born September 30, 1935 and went to Jesus on August 2, 2018. Carla was born to Jessie Carl and Willie Willis in San Augustine, Texas. Her father was a career navy man and when Carla's mother passed away she and her brother went to live with their paternal grandparents John and Vesta Willis. Carla attended Abilene Christian College where she met and married the love of her life, Don Myers. On June 17, 1955 they married and went on to have six children. Carla is survived by daughters, Darla and husband Jimmy Yowell, Terri and husband Ron Gammage, Patti Conner and Carol Vansickle; sons, Jerry Myers and Rick and wife Tammy Myers; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. She has now joined her husband Don, parents and grandparents in heaven with Jesus. A Celebration of Carla's life will be at Cox Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests memorials be given to Panhandle Safe Haven Equine Rescue; 1809 Plateau, Amarillo, TX 79106-5826
