Carlotta Ritchie

Carlotta "Meme" Ritchie, 78, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on May 25, 2018 at First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Carlotta was born on June 17, 1939 in Hickory, PA to Mathew Acheson and Roena Junker. She was raised in Pennsylvania, where she graduated high school. She then moved to California before settling in Amarillo in the late 1960's. Carlotta worked for Trailways for over 17 years, retiring in the late 90's. Upon retirement, Carlotta continued working for Hendricks Industries until the age of 78. She was known to be hardworking, respectful and selfless. Above all, she was a proud "Meme" to her family and loved nothing more than caring for them. Those left to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters, Dianna Ritchie, Heather Sanders and husband Eric, all of Amarillo and Susan Hughes and husband Justin of Shamrock; son, Mark Wolfe of Amarillo; sister, Elaine Acheson of Illinois; 12 grandchildren, Meagan, Destin, Nina, Brandy, Angela, Jessica, Weston, Lindsey, Ericka, Jacy, Sydney and Charley as well as 9 great grandchildren. Carlotta was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marsha Hinds and her brother, Mathew Acheson, Jr.
