Carole Flowers Pierce

Carole Flowers Pierce, 67, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Everett, Wash. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Valley View Church of the Nazarene, 7601 S. Western St. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Pierce was born Carolyn Sue Flowers on Sept. 27, 1946, to Jewell and Earl Flowers in Clarendon. She was the last of four children. She grew up mostly in Amarillo and attended Amarillo High School. She was a member of Shepard of the Hills Baptist Church in Noncoa Hills for many years. She and her husband, sister, brother-in-law and some of her grandchildren helped with the building of the church. She passed away shortly after moving to Washington to live with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Pierce; a stepdaughter, Sandy Pierce; and a nephew, Brent Gollihugh. Survivors include a sister, Betty Gollihugh of Amarillo; a daughter, Dynette Hofmann and husband Steven of Arlington, Wash.; stepchildren, Kelly Williams of Everett and Aaron Pierce and wife Andrea of Spokane, Wash.; many nieces and nephews, including Alice Willis, Billy Flowers, Jim Gollihugh, Jerry Gollihugh, Courtney Booth and Shena Ferguson of Amarillo; and grandchildren, Jeffery Hofmann and wife Samantha of Marysville, Wash., Joshua Hofmann of Granite Falls, Wash., Jaime Hofmann of Sidney, Mon., Megan Pierce of Post Falls, Idaho, Wade of Everett and Devin Pierce of Spokane. The family suggests memorials be to Shepard of the Hills Baptist Church in Nocona Hills or Medical Center League House in Amarillo.
