Carolyn Elizabeth Kime

Carolyn Elizabeth Kime, 76, of Amarillo passed away February 3, 2022. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday February 7, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2101 Coulter St,– Bishop Chris Moncivais officiating. Carolyn was born on November 26, 1945 in Brownsville, Texas to Jesse and Louise Mullins. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. Carolyn married Tony Widowski in 1964. That marriage ended after 15 years with the unexpected passing of Tony in 1979. Carolyn then met and married Stephen Kime in 1983. Between the two of them there are a total of five kids. Carolyn worked retail at Gibsons in her early years, then following the passing of Tony, she successfully ran his business, Tony's Paint and Body with the help of her brother, Roger. The neighboring business, Dodson Welding, is where she met Stephen. Carolyn and Stephen Kime married on September 5, 1983.  Carolyn spent many years of her life as a successful Avon representative and had a very large clientele. Carolyn was a faithful Christian. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1964 and remained an active member throughout her life. She spent years teaching the Children's Sunday School class and volunteered her time in the Family History Center for many years. Carolyn loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and especially being with family during the holidays. She had a very soft heart and was always willing to give and help at any time. Carolyn loved all animals, but especially poodles. Carolyn loved spending time with Stephen. One of their favorite pastimes was going to dinner and the movies. Her favorite color was purple and she loved listening to Elvis Presley.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Tony Widowski, parents, Jesse and Louise Mullins and her sister, April West.

Survivors include her husband Stephen Kime, of Amarillo TX; her brother, Roger Mullins (Yanina) of Oakwood, OK; her children, Jeremy Widowski, Matt Kime both of Amarillo TX, Tony Widowski Jr (Michelle) of Goodyear AZ, Johnathon Kime (Nicole) of Sioux City IA, Racheal Kime (Mario Campbell) of Bosque NM; fifteen wonderful grandchildren; and six sweet great-grandchildren.
