Carolyn Thompson

Carolyn Thompson, 73, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday June 9, 2023. Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM Monday June 12, 2023 at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born on December 29, 1949 to Peter and Odell Thompson in Amarillo. She attended early school in River Road and Graduated from Palo Duro High school in 1968. Carolyn received her Bachelor degree in Sociology from West Texas A & M University in Canyon. She was employed by the state of Texas from 1973 to 2006 spending some of her career in Austin. Carolyn later retired to her family home in Amarillo. During her free time, Carolyn enjoyed nature and watching the old classic movies. She was deeply loved, and will be missed.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bailey Thompson. Survivors include her brother, Tony Thompson; one niece and a host of cousins and extended family members.
