Carolyn Faye Turner Bailey

Carolyn was born on January 7, 1947 in Plainview to Garland and Mildred Turner. She was raised in the Amarillo-Canyon area, graduating from Palo Duro High School. Carolyn married Dan Bailey in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 2009. She worked as a secretary, most recently at Texas Tech University Health Services. She enjoyed traveling and antiquing, as well as playing cards and collecting bird figurines. Most of all, Carolyn loved her family and loved being MeMaw to her grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Brent Bailey and wife Pattie of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Dana Ferris and husband Gene of Canyon; five sisters, Judy Webb and husband Gene of Amarillo, Sara Bowie and husband John of Nacadoches, Belva Broden and husband Bob of North Richland Hills, Janet Mullins and husband Danny of Gilbert, AZ and Sheree Garcia and husband Johnny of Dallas; 9 grandchildren, Kylee, Ashlee, Dennis, Jyssika, Alex, Kelly, Zach, Nicholas and Slayton; 4 great grandchildren and one on the way; close cousin, Don Rogers of Amarillo and many other close family members. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Dan Bailey
