Carrolyn (Smith) Carter

Carrolyn Carter, 69, of Borger, went home to her Lord & Savior on Friday, August 20, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday August 23, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Carrolyn was born January 16, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas, to Marvin and Dorothy Smith. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. She married Jerry Carter, her best friend in 1991. Carrolyn dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved studying the Word of God, and was an avid reader of many Christian study books. She loved collectibles, such as crosses, bunnies and stuffed animals. She enjoyed crafting and listening to music in her spare time. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy; and a sister, Susan Hogan.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Carter of the home; a daughter, Alicia Hamilton of Amarillo; two sisters, Mary Martin and husband Michael of East Alton, IL, and Doris Fuller and husband Charlie of Amarillo; a brother, Fred Lewis of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
