Cathy (Ballard) Holland

Cathy Ballard Holland, 67, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy Rd. with Pastor Greg Corona officiating.

Cathy was born June 10, 1956 in Amarillo to Arthur and Oneta Ballard. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1974. She married her husband Charlie Holland on May 14, 1977 in Amarillo. Cathy worked for Dr. Mark Hassinger, DDS as the office manager for over 25 years, retiring in 2020.

In her spare time, Cathy enjoyed going to the pool, and most especially hanging out with her two beautiful granddaughters. Cathy and Charlie were longtime members of Kingswood United Methodist Church. Cathy’s favorite color, purple, matched her bubbly personality. She was an avid reader of Danielle Steel novels, and loved watching the Hallmark channel. Cathy was a very selfless person who always put others before herself, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Holland; her daughter, Vanessa Morrison and husband Mike of Amarillo; her sister, Sandie Brown and husband Mark of Wheeler; two nephews, Shawn Brown and Keith Brown; and her two granddaughters, Sadie and Sophie Morrison.
