Catrina Leard, 40, of Amarillo, passed away on October 3, 2025. Memorial services celebrating Catrina's life will be held 6:30 PM October 9, 2025, at Cox - Rowley Funeral Home in Amarillo, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Catrina was born on March 30, 1985, in Amarillo. Catrina worked tirelessly for 16 years in the healthcare field, serving both as a Registered Nurse and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was known for her dedication while working at Legacy Nursing Home and BSA Emergency. A proud graduate of Caprock High School, Catrina enjoyed participating in the Debate Team, where she proudly achieved first place in 2003 debates. Throughout her education, she was involved with the Health Occupations Students of America group and showed a remarkable passion for service. Catrina treasured her time attending Special Olympic competitions with her baby brother, Chance.
Among her many talents and skills, Catrina was known for her hands-on fix-it approach. She worked with electricity, plumbing and just loved to tinker in her spare time. All that to say, she was adventurous and never let things hold her back from doing her best.
Catrina was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brayden Leard, and her dad, James Watts III, as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include her mother, Alicia Morris, and father, Walter Morris. She was a very loving mother to her daughters, Brylee Leard, Brooke Allen, and Brentley Allen; she always kept them close to her heart. Catrina's siblings, Robert Mason, Chance Morris, Josh (Breanna) Watts, Natasha (Matthew) McNeil, Sasha Watts, Amy Philpot, Mindy (Jackie) Larance, and Jason (Kim) Morris. She had a very special bond with her Aunt Jamie as well as her Aunt Cheryl. Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
