Christine Smart

Cecila Christine Smart aka “Tini”, age 69, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on January 29th, 2026 surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 2nd, 2026 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Funeral. Services will be held at Cox-Rowley on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Christine was born on February 16, 1956, in Amarillo, Texas to Cecil Ennis Bryant and Jeanette Durham Long. She attended River Road Elementary and Horace Mann Middle School.

Christine married the love of her life, Jimmie Smart in 1970. In 1971, they had the best and only child, Kenneth Dale Smart. She worked for City Federal Credit Union for 30 years and ended her career as a teller supervisor and trainer. She enjoyed water skiing, camping, playing softball, and later in life watching the Sod Poodles. She enjoyed her adventures in the motor home even if it was a quick trip to Lake Meredith. She had the best time playing bingo with her mother in law (Jimmie) and beating everyone in card games with her fellow competitor Roberta. Some of her hobbies included painting, arts and crafts, sewing, watching tv, and playing games with her granddaughters.

Christine was proceeded in death by her parents; four brothers, Fred, Joe, Bill, and Dan Long; two sisters Clarice Bryant and Geraldine Clark.

She is survived by her caring husband, her son Kenneth and partner Susan of Amarillo, granddaughter Keana Smart and wife Crystal of Lubbock, Texas, a sister Crystal Green of Amarillo, Texas and many in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
