Celia Tijerina, 50, of Amarillo passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2020, at Hillside Christian Church in the chapel — 6100 South Soncy Rd. with Pastor Rob Attaway officiating. Celia will be available for viewing Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 12:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Llano Cemetery. Celia was born on August 2, 1970, in Hereford to Julian C. and Maria L. Tijerina. She Graduated from Hereford High School in 1988 and continued her education at Texas Woman’s University where she received her Bachelor’s degree. As a young woman Celia was always driven for success and always worked towards perfection. She was an avid reader; she loved movies and shopping in her spare time. Celia was a dog lover especially when it came to her white lab “Pretty Boy”. She was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Celia will be greatly missed. Celia was preceded in death by her mother, Maria L. Tijerina in January 2018. Survivors include her father, Julian C. Tijerina; two sisters, Monica Tijerina and Lisa Fisher and her husband Norm; three nieces, Katrina Lambert and her husband Tyler, Madison Lynn and Isabella Tijerina all of Amarillo; one nephew, Caleb Fisher of Whidbey Island, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at http://woundedwarriorproject.org/.
