Charles E. Guyer

Charles was born February 13, 1931 in Woods County, Oklahoma to Rella and Ed Guyer. He served his country in the army and was the type of man who never met a stranger. He was a real people person who never complained. He liked wood working and crafted many quilt racks, along with other treasured mementos, many people still are using to this day. He was an outdoorsman and would walk five miles every day. He enjoyed traveling to Padre Island on the coast and to Wolf Creek Pass in the mountains. He loved having his grandchildren with him on some of these trips, making special memories. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rella and Ed Guyer; his daughter, Charla Gayle Guyer; his son, Craig Allen Guyer and his sister, Esther Redgate. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Coleen Guyer of Amarillo; his daughter, Marsha Thomas and husband Gale of Amarillo; his daughter-in-law, Lori Guyer of Pampa; 6 grandchildren, Scott Thomas and wife Alicia of Gruver, Chase Guyer and wife Isabella of Amarillo, Stephanie Finley and husband Billy of Amarillo, Cole Guyer of Pampa, Sheldon Thomas and fiancé Berkley of Amarillo, Lynsie Green and husband Zac of Pampa; 6 great grandchildren, Jayla, Marley, Addison, Hunter, Brayden, and Maddox; also surviving him are 2 sisters, Allez Jamison and Jean Barker both of Waynoka, OK and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
