Charles Waller

Charles was born on October 25, 1944 in Memphis to Clarence and Maggie Waller. He was raised in Memphis, where he attended Memphis High School. He married Violet Pierce on November 16, 1963 in Memphis. Charles worked as a firefighter for the Memphis Fire Department for 22 years. He held many positions in Memphis throughout the years, including: City Judge, jailer and sheriff deputy. In 1989 they moved to Amarillo where he worked as a prison guard. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed working Crossword puzzles. Most of all, he loved being "Papa" to his family. He is survived by his wife, Violet Waller of Amarillo; daughter, Shelly Beam and husband Brent of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, Greg, Kiefer, Cameron, Brittain and wife Tiffany and Conner and 2 great grandchildren, Mady and Caden. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Waller; sister, June and son, Matt Waller.
