Charline Clement Brashears

November 3, 1928 — November 12, 2015

Charline was born November 3, 1928 to Vera and Charlie Clement and went to be with the Lord, November 12, 2015. She was raised in Collingsworth County and later moved to Shamrock. She graduated from Shamrock High School in 1947. After graduation, she married the love of her life, James L. "Bunk" Brashears and from that union, they had four children. Charline was a loving mother who always instilled Christian values in her children. She was an amazing cook and baker and the table was always open to family and friends. Every summer Charline would can fruits and vegetables from the family's garden and orchard. She was proud of her heritage. Her Clement geneology has been traced to the 1500's to Virginia. She had traveled with her sister and several cousins to Virginia to visit Clement Hill in Hurt, VA. In 2002, she was proud to be inducted into the local chapter of the DAR Arredondo. She was a Baptist and member of South Georgia Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of Childers Place Memory Care. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James L. "Bunk" Brashears, and by her son, James L. Brashears, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Brashears Henson of Amarillo, Lisa Brashears Wilhelm and husband Roger of Wellington, and Carla Brashears of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Peters of Wellington, Brittney Collins of Amarillo, Lindsey Wilhelm of Wellington, Wimberly Collins of Amarillo, and Matt Wilhelm of Lubbock; 6 great grandchildren, Breytton Wright, Blayke Wright, Aariyah Heras, Rileigh Wilhelm, Chloe Peters, Karsyn Castro and Baby Peters, expected arrival June 2016; and by a sister, Peggy Clement Davis of Amarillo
