Chase Moore was born on April 13, 1982 in Stevens Point, WI to Roland and Carol Moore. He began studying the violin at the age of foru. He graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High in 2000 before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. In addition to his musical studies, Chase was an avid student of scripture, theology, and church history.
Chase married Kathryn Moore on July 2, 2005. Chase and Katy were blessed with 2 daughters, Clara and Margot. Chase was a faithful and loving husband and devoted and doting father. Chase and Katy were members of Temple Baptist Church.
Chase taught orchestra at Crockett Middle School, Ridgecrest Elementary, Puckett Elementary, and Sleepy Hollow Elementary. His passion for excellence and his fun nature inspired a true love of music in his students. He was a member of Amarillo Symphony Orchestra and frequently performed his violin with other ensembles in the Amarillo area. Chase was a man of integrity who faithfully carried out his work, studies and responsibilities to the best of his ability for the glory of God. Above everything else, Chase was a steadfast follower of Christ who was most passionate about the glory of God.
He is survived by his wife, Katy; 2 daughters, Clara and Margot Moore; parents, Roland and Carol Moore of Plover, WI; brother, Ross Moore and wife Megan and their son, Milo of Verona, WI and his grandmother, Maxine Moore of Dixfield, ME.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Sue Nadesan of Harrington Cancer Center, the sixth floor nurses and staff of BSA Hospital, the AISD community of educators and students, our Amarillo area musical colleagues, our faithful friends and family, and our church families at Temple Baptist Church and First Baptist Church.
