Cheryl Redden

Cheryl Laree Redden, 66, of Amarillo, died Thursday, January 4, 2018. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Cox Funeral Home- Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. Cheryl was born September 18, 1951 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Robert and Robbie Lynch. She graduated from Pampa High School and earned her bachelor degree from West Texas State University. She married Robert Redden in 1990. Cheryl worked in social services at Texas Panhandle MHMR for many years. She retired in 2006 as manager of social services. She was a very talented crafter. She adored her two dogs, Rascal Blue and Crash Bandicoot. Most especially, Cheryl loved caring for her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lynch. Survivors include her husband, Robert Redden; a daughter Sharra Longhofer and husband Luke; two sons, Brandon Mitchell and wife Amy of Ponder, and Cody Mitchell and wife Tenille of Amarillo; her mother, Robbie Lynch of Alvord; and eight grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, TX 79119.
