Chuck Janssen

Chuck was born October 3, 1962 in Canyon to Mary Ann and Jimmy Janssen. A mechanic by trade, he loved racing of all kinds, especially dirt track races. He enjoyed a good barbeque also, as well as his dogs. He wasn't one to turn anyone or anything away. If you needed it, he would help you get it. If an animal showed up on his doorstep, he took them in as well. He was known by his friends and family to be quite the character, always ready with a joke and a smile. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Pat Janssen. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Ashby and husband Jayson and Chris Janssen; two grandchildren, Aspen and Sadie Ashby all of Amarillo; his brother, Bobby Janssen and wife Maxine of Vega, his sister, Jo Ann Janssen of Amarillo; nephew, Jason Janssen; his life partner, Donnetta Finley of Amarillo; and by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
