Chuck Thrasher

Chuck Thrasher passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 surrounded by his family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2020 at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Jerald Chadwick officiating.

Chuck was born November 6, 1964 in Canyon, Texas to Charles and Linda Thrasher. He attended Amarillo High School. He loved to sing and enjoyed theater, and was involved himself in Amarillo Opera for several years, and his college choir. The Miami Dolphins were his favorite team. Chuck was also a fan of NASCAR. For the last two years of his life, he was a Free Mason. He liked to golf and bowl. He was a longtime member of a bowling league, and the family enjoyed bowling together. Chuck worked for the Civic Center for twenty-five years before owning his own security company, Showtime Security. He had great passion for the arts. He played several instruments and acted as Santa Claus. He was also talented enough in driving in the snow and shooting to teach his sister how to do both.

Survivors include his parents, Charles and Linda Thrasher; three daughters, Renee Thrasher, Brittany Thrasher, and Emily Thrasher; two grandchildren, Aliyah Thrasher and Scout Hickman; one sister, Brenda Darst and husband David; and a host of additional family members.
