Cindy Mckee

Cindy McKee, 63, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Arden Road Baptist Church, 6701 Arden Road, with Pastor Mike Corb officiating.

Cindy was born October 4, 1957 in Amarillo to Ron and Jerry Lacy. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1976, and attended Amarillo College. She married Gene McKee on July 15, 1978 in Amarillo. Cindy dedicated her life to caring for her family. She and Gene have been members of Arden Road Baptist Church for over 30 years. They also gained a bonus family through their water aerobics classes at Amarillo Town Club. Cindy was a selfless person; always putting the needs of others above her own. She enjoyed taking care of people. She attended all her grandkids’ events, and always had enough blankets, snacks and mints for everyone. She would redonate any money she received for anything. Cindy had the will of a warrior and the heart of a saint.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Douglas Lacy.

Survivors include her husband, Gene McKee; her son, John McKee and wife, Rachel of Amarillo; her daughter, Jill Ball and husband Adam of Granbury; her brother, David Lacy and wife Damaris of Ohio; her sister, Christi Bonilla and husband Tommy of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Dawson Ball, Hannah McKee, Kaylin Ball and Sawyer McKee; and her mother-in-law, Susan McKee.
