Cleo Juanita Phillips Duncan 94 passed away on December 30, 2015 in Amarillo, TX. She was the widow of George C. Duncan. They shared 42 years of marriage together. Born in Paonia, Colorado, she was the daughter of Charles and Leola Phillips. She completed high school in Paonia, Colorado, and was a homemaker to her family with six children. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Quitaque, TX. She enjoyed gardening, hiking in the Colorado mountains, painting, sewing, drinking coffee, and reading. She will be most remembered for her joyful, fun-loving and adventurous spirit, spreading laughter everywhere she was, and her unconditional love for family and human kind. She is predeceased by her husband George C. Duncan, daughter, Mary Newsom, and siblings Leadoh Phillips, Laneive Owens, and Dorothy Adams. She is survived by 5 children; George C. Duncan, Jr, John Duncan and wife Elizabeth, Jane Duncan, Kriss Schmidt and husband, Phillip, Bobbie Pendergrass and husband, George, son-in-law Jay Newsom, 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
