Cleo Lynch Phillips Crossland, 91 died on May 1, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas. Cleo was born on December 19, 1924 in rural Waggnor, Oklahoma. Cleo was the 6th of 6 children.
Cleo grew up in rural Waggnor, Oklahoma where her family worked on a farm. She and her youngest sister played basketball and won several championships for the High School. She graduated from Waggnor High and at age 16, married George Warren Phillips. They had 3 children. When Warren went into the navy, in 1942, she came to Amarillo to be near her brothers and sisters. In 1945 Warren got out of the Navy and they moved to California for several years. She returned to Amarillo and married George Norman Crossland in 1949. They had 4 children. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her two husbands; her parents; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; a daughter, Jaqueline Marie Lamar; 2 sons, Johnny Leon Phillips and Terry Dale Crossland.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn Sue Phillips Hall and Pamela Gail Crossland; 2 sons, Ronald Gene Crossland and George William Crossland; a step son, Clyde Ray Crossland; Numerous grandchildren; Great-grand Children and Great-great- grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.
