Clinton Shane Rutledge

Clinton was born on January 8, 1977 in Childress to Thomas and Janette Rutledge. He was raised in Childress, where he graduated from high school in 1995. He moved to Amarillo in 1998, where he attended the police academy at Amarillo College. Clinton worked as a police officer in Plainview, Borger, Stratford and most recently, Childress. He was an expert marksman and worked as a sniper with the police departments. Clinton was also employed as a welder for several years. He always had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being around the animals. Most of all, he loved his family. He was especially close with his PawPaw Hall and was a proud father to his 2 girls. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Janette Rutledge of Amarillo; 2 daughters, MaKayla and Taylor Rutledge of Abilene; brother, Jeromy Rutledge and wife D'Laine of Louisburg, KS; sister, Rachel Peatrowsky of Amarillo; niece, Quinn Peatrowsky of Amarillo and his nephews, Cade and Carson Rutledge of Louisburg, KS. The Family requests Memorial Contributions be sent to The Clinton Shane Rutledge Family Fund at Happy State Bank.
