Colin Wainwright

Colin Wainwright, 80, of Amarillo, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Trinity Fellowship Church Chapel, 5000 Hollywood Rd., with Rev. Kyle Wilkinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm Monday, August 28, 2017. Colin was born July 23, 1937 in Manchester, England to Florence and Glen Wainwright. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, having ridden since he was 14 years old. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a true animal lover, especially to his dogs. He was great with his hands and enjoyed tinkering with anything, but was very detail oriented, so it had to be right. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Barbara Wainwright. He is survived by his wife, Linnea Wainwright; children, Brian Rogers of Austin and Christina Louise Wainwright of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Sadalia and Sierra Wainwright; a great granddaughter, Shyanne Wainwright; and a sister, Joan Warwick and husband Ted of Wisconsin.
