Connie Field

Connie Field passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at his home in Amarillo after recent hospitalizations. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with Pastor Rusty Hancock of Lincoln St. Baptist Church of Dalhart officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive in Amarillo. He was born September 13, 1931 in Garza County Texas before moving to Dalhart, Texas in 1941. Connie married the love of his life, Carol Elaine Beal, May 2, 1959, in Lubbock. He was a life-long farmer in the Dalhart area. Survivors include his wife, Carol Field; two sons, Doug Field and wife Leslie of Adelanto, CA, and Greg and wife Dondi of Wylie; two brothers, David Mack Field and wife Janice of Amarillo, and Roy Field of Maryland; two sisters, Mary Lou Ritchey of Dalhart, and Bonnie Sue Dooley and husband Jack of Spicewood; a sister-in-law, Jo Field of Amarillo; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by his parents, Tim and Dessie Field; and six brothers, Lewis Field, James Field, Albert Field, Robert Field, Tim Field Jr., and Foy Field.
