Conrad E. Nilsen

Conrad was born on February 19, 1967 in Amarillo to Charles and Linda Nilsen. He was raised in Amarillo, graduating from Caprock High School. Conrad married Joyce Drerup onJune 30, 1987 in Amarillo. He worked for many years as a self-employed welder, specializing in metal fabrication. He was a talented musician who loved singing, especially blues music and even played percussion in a band. Conrad was known to have a sense of humor and he was the type of person who would always help others in need. Above all, Conrad loved his Lord and his family and loved being given the opportunity to pray for others. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nilsen of Panhandle; daughter, Cynthia Marie Nilsen-Terry and husband Joshua of Fairview, OK; mother, Linda Lu Bowles of Lafayette, TN; sisters, Laurenda Whisenhunt and husband Danny of Lafayette, TN and Julia Stansel and husband Slater of Hendersonville, TN; several nieces and nephews and children who considered him a father figure as well as many furbabies and grandfurbabies at his home he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by a very close niece, Amanda Dawn Drerup; father, Charles E. Nilsen; grandmother, Agnes Thomas and his stepfather, Leslie Bowles.
