Craig Russell Logan

Craig Russell Logan, 69, left this earthly world on March 5th, 2022 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM March 8, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Brother Jeff Messer officiating. The family encourages everyone to wear Dallas Cowboy attire.

He was born to William and Wanda Logan in Fort Worth, TX on October 9, 1952. Craig grew up as a military dependent living all over the United States, and graduated from Stafford High School in Virginia.

After college he settled in Amarillo, TX and married his wife, Shirley Sterling, on May 1st, 1983. Craig worked as a Chef for numerous organizations before starting work with the Burlington Northern Railroad. Starting from the ground up, he retired as an Engineer after 24 years.

Craig’s interests included watching his Dallas Cowboys or cooking and baking which comprised his (and everyone else he gave it to) favorites of beef jerky, fudge, fruit roll-ups and peanut brittle. He could be found refereeing one of the multiple sports he loved, fishing, gardening, or watching/ running his kids (then later his grandkids) to all of their extracurricular activities. Craig never met a stranger and made friends and added family members to our family everywhere he went.

Craig was preceded in passing by his father William Logan and his son Keith Willie.

Craig is survived by his wife Shirley Logan, his sons Kevin Willie and John Logan, his daughters Sherill Denison, Mary Elizabeth Russell, Rebecca Haws, Charity Rodriguez, and Chené Logan, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, mother Wanda Logan, brother Barry Logan and sisters Sandra Weaver and Cindy Burns.

In lieu of flowers, there is a benefit account set up for medical expenses at Amarillo National Bank in the name of “Shirley Logan” that will be available starting 3/8/2022.
