Dale Jean (Morris) Hoover

Dale Jean Hoover, 67, passed away March 15, 2023. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, March 20, 2023 at Palo Duro Cowboy Church, 12200 W. U.S. 60 in Canyon, Texas with Casey Wetsel and Roger Shelton officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday March 19, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home 4180 Canyon Drive.

Dale was born October 16, 1955 in Dover, Delaware to Oscar and Dena Morris. She attended Childress High School in Childress, Texas. Dale graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate’s degree in Accounting. She worked in the accounts payable department of BSA for over 30 years.

Dale married the love of her life, Curtis Hoover on June 30, 1995. She loved being a mom and Granny. Dale opened her home to anyone. She loved to cook and was an amazing baker and made one “heck” of a pecan pie. Dale loved breeding dogs, but especially had a soft spot for her Scotties. She loved to read novels and enjoyed gardening. Dale was a dedicated member of Palo Duro Cowboy Church. She enjoyed being in the Sunny Hill Extension Education Association. Dale will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.

Dale was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Hoover, her parents, one brother Donald Morris and two great-granddaughters, Caelyn and Lexi Sharp.

Survivors include her two daughters Mandy Frazier (David) of Amarillo, Meagan Walters of Amarillo; one brother Dennis Morris (Ann) of Amarillo; one sister DJ Hoover of Shallowater, Texas; five grandchildren, Tyler Sharp (Marisa) of Amarillo, Evan Crowder (Justice) of Amarillo, Justice Crowder of Amarillo, Jade Crowder of Lubbock, and Shelbie Frazier of Amarillo; three great-grandchildren Jazlyn, Jaizly and Brynlee. Survivors also include a host of family members.
