Dana Rae (Morgan) Turk

Dana Rae Turk, 72, of Amarillo passed away on January 7, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday January 13, at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S. Washington with a private family burial to follow. The family will be accepting friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday January 12, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Arrangements are under the directions of the Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Dana was born October 11, 1952, in Waurika, OK, to Howard and Nell Morgan. She was raised in Wichita Falls and later moved to Amarillo graduating from Palo Duro High School in 1970. She looked forward to the class reunions and loved reconnecting with her friends. Dana married the love of her life, Jerry Turk, in the early 1970s and she helped raise his children, Debbie and Tony Weir.

Dana is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Wells SR; her daughter, Debbie; her husband, Jerry “Charlie Brown”.

She is survived by her son, Tony Weir and wife Caroline of Amarillo; her three sisters; her true and faithful sister, Donna Crossley of Amarillo; Dee McMahan and husband Jerry of Wichita Falls; Kelly Morgan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her two brothers; Clayton Morgan of Wichita Falls; Paul Morgan and wife Tamara of Holliday; sister-in-law Theresa Wells of Holiday; her fur baby Miss Annie. Survivors also include a niece, Amy Phillips and husband Kale, with four nephews - Judson, Jedd, Jensen and Jenks Phillips (the "J" boys) - all of Amarillo; and the newest bundle of joy - her niece Adleigh Phillips, also of Amarillo.  Dana was blessed with a blended family and had a special place in her heart for her beloved step-mother, Wilma Morgan of Holliday along with many wonderful nieces and nephews from the Wells and Morgan families.
