Danny Ray Armstrong, 72, of Amarillo passed away October 16, 2022 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday October 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Young officiating.
Danny was born on July 3, 1950 in Amarillo to Lowell and Virginia Armstrong. He was raised by Claude and Virginia Padgett. Danny graduated from Amarillo High School. He married Machael Philler in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2006. Danny was a hard worker, ornery as ever and always had an opinion to share. He was ultimately known for his “Spot It, Got It’ attitude. Danny truly loved to ride his beloved motorcycle, he rode until he couldn’t anymore. He loved taking trips on his motorcycle, going to the lake, and off-roading at the river. Danny enjoyed listening to old country music and playing pool at his parents bar since he was young. He was a member on the pool league for his parents bar, Polly’s Pub. Danny doesn’t have to look anymore, he finally made the obits. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lowell; his parents, Claude and Virginia; his brothers, Randy and Larry; his sister, Sherrie; and grandchild Mackenzie.
Survivors include his loving wife Machael of the home; his two daughters, Niesha Segura and significant other Kirk Lewis of Amarillo; Lindsey Wheeler and husband Jeremy of Amarillo; his son Joshua Armstrong and wife Carolyn of Houston; his step-son Michael Philler of Amarillo; his treasured fur babies, Axel and Fat Cat; his brother Terry Padgett of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Brayden, Jacob, Zachary, Lauren, Sarah, Lyra, Saxon; and the mother of his children Terri Lynn Shuffield and husband Richard of Amarillo. Survivors also include a host of other family members and dear friends.
