Danny Joe Baucom

Danny Joe Baucom passed on to heaven July 9, 2022, four days shy of his 70th birthday. No services are scheduled at this time.

Danny was born on July 13, 1952 to Sam Baucom, Jr and Mary Goodwin Baucom. Danny was a carpenter and had worked many years with Amarillo Roof Truss. He loved watching NASCAR, bowling, fishing and attending dirt track races all over, but especially at Rt. 66 Motor Speedway. Danny had helped build cars and had pitted for several different drivers. Before his illness began two and half years ago he was the hardest working man around. He would help anyone do anything. It didn’t matter if it was construction, painting, roofing, building a fence or flooring. Danny did it all with perfection. He was a mentor to many. He will be dearly missed and cherished always.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Becky.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father Sam; his son Trey Baucom and wife Tricia and their two children Gracelynn and Joseph; his other son Shay Baucom and his two children Andrew and Allison; his best friend and roommate, Sharon French; his siblings, Sam Baucom and wife Dona, Wayne Baucom, Debbie Baucom Williams and Shane Baucom and wife Kyla. Survivors also include his special friends that he loved like family, Shawn French, Randy French, Lance French and Danny Olson. Also many other family members and friends.
