Danny Lee Heare

Danny Lee Heare, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.  Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Rev. Scott Heare officiating.

Danny was born April 5, 1949 in Dumas, Texas to F. P. and Yvonne Heare, and graduated from Tascosa High School. He married Robbie McQueen on May 9, 1969 in Amarillo, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage, having raised two children, Angelia and Phillip.

Danny worked in materials at Pantex and retired in 2005 after 27 years of service. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing. He also loved going to the racetrack. Danny was an avid animal lover all his life. He was a member of Hillside Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Rogers; and a brother, Mark Heare.

Survivors include his wife, Robbie Heare; his daughter, Angelia Heare of Lubbock; His son, Phillip Heare and wife Kerry of Amarillo; a brother, Jerry Heare and wife Patsy of Lakeway, TX; his beautiful granddaughter Kaitlyn Heare; and two close friends, Pete Manghan and Doug Kuehler.

The family would like to extend special thanks for the loving care that Danny received while with BSA Hospice of the Southwest, especially to Amanda, Theresa and Shawn.

Danny loved bright colors and comfortable clothes. If you attend the service, please keep this in mind and dress comfortably.
