Danny (Buck) Ray Johnson

Danny “Buck” Ray Johnson was born February 12, 1954 in Hartsville South Carolina and passed away on December 9, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas. At his request there will be no viewing or services. All donations should be made to an animal rescue of your choice.

Buck attended Tascosa High School and TSTI to obtain his CDL license. He was a painter by trade and was employed by Carl Williams Painting for 25 years before retiring due to health issues. He was a hard worker and could fix almost anything. Buck was always eager to help family, friends and neighbors but would never ask for any help. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Church. He had a love and passion for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, animals, and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Sr. and Wanda Johnson, Charles Jr. “Buggs” Johnson, Dwight Johnson, John Phillips “JP” Johnson all of Amarillo.

He is survived by his wife, Dari; two children Zach and Keisha Johnson from Amarillo; five grandchildren, Kamri, Kylee, Kalyn, and Azlynn all of Amarillo; Zayne of Phoenix, AZ; one great grandson Jasper Ray of Amarillo; one brother David Johnson and wife Barbara of Amarillo; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
