Daphne Fox

Daphne Fox, 70, died Wednesday May 13, 2015. Services will be at 10 a.m Monday at Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive in Amarillo, TX with Pastor Murry Gossett of First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens. Daphne was born March 28, 1945 to Ira Joseph and Mary Louise Young in Wheeler, TX. She graduated from Amarillo High and went on to attend Amarillo College where she received an Associate degree. She married her love Edwin Fox Sr. in June of 1970. Daphne worked for the VA Hospital for many years, she was proud to be a part of the veterans' life's and worked hard for them. Her passions were cooking, crocheting and enjoyed gardening. Daphne had a special excitement for history and always wanted to learn more. She adored her family, grandchildren and especially her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Mary, her husband Edwin, a brother Wayne and a sister Beverly. Survivors include her two sons, Russell Fox and wife Jessica, Eddie Fox Jr. and wife Gena both of Amarillo. Three grandchildren, Chandler Marie Fox, Winn Fox III and Brynli Fox. A brother, Glenn Young and wife Wanda of Amarillo, and a sister, Ethel Kotara and husband Larry of Lubbock, and many nieces and nephews.
