Darla June Yelton

Darla was born on November 2, 1948 in Hale County. She was raised in Etter and graduated from Dumas High School in 1967. She then attended Amarillo College, where she received her license to practice Vocational Nursing. Darla moved to Amarillo in 1970 where she began her employment as an LVN at Bivins Memorial Nursing Home before going to work for St. Anthony's Hospital. Above all, Darla loved her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing Skipbo as often as possible. Her grandchildren were her world! She is preceded in death by her parents, J.L. and Mamie Cleveland. She is survived by her son, Brad Clark and wife Nicole; daughter, Amy Stromberg and husband John, all of Amarillo; sister, Debbie Petree and husband Lennie of Dumas; brother, Larry Clark of Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Morgan Escalon and husband Ryan, Austin Stromberg, Madison Clark, Sophie Stromberg and Cooper Clark, her great granddaughter, Annaleigh Escalon and her special friends, Nancy Woodall, Delcine Simmons, Sherry Cox, Lynette Dreadin, Pam Rains, & Charona Cates.
