Darrell Gossett

Bud was born on December 8, 1939 in Clovis, NM to John and Eva Gossett. He moved to Amarillo as a child, where he was raised and attended schools. Bud worked as a mechanic, beginning at Plains Chevrolet and eventually owning several shops including Shorty's Bear Safety Service. He raced at the dirt tracks of Amarillo then retired so he could enjoy watching his family race. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and being at the lake and was known to collect, fix and sell many different things. He is survived by his son, Dee Gossett and wife Lisa; daughter, Kim Wright; brother, J.C. Gossett; sister, Jackie Raleigh and husband Jerry; 5 grandchildren, Zach Gossett and wife Kelsey, Jeremy Gossett and wife Savannah, Haley Crow and husband Zack, Kaylyn Wright and Kinsey Wright and 2 great grandchildren, Blaire Gossett and Olivia Crow. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Gossett; daughter, Sheryl Gossett and granddaughter, Brittney Gossett.
