Darren Lloyd Searcy

Darren Lloyd Searcy 48 year’s old passed away peacefully surrounded by his mother, stepfather and furbaby Riley on February 4, 2022. Darren was born October 29, 1973 in Beaver, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Darren’s last wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest with his father Vernon.

Darren was born in Beaver, Oklahoma to Joyce (Searcy) Myers and Vernon Searcy. He joined two older siblings Dale Searcy and Roberta Searcy at the age of 14, two more brother’s joined his family Seth and Charles Searcy.

He attended Beaver Public School from kindergarten until he graduated in 1991. His favorite “subjects” were sports especially football and basketball. He was also a member of FFA and enjoyed showing his pet pig “Neva”. After gradation Darren moved to Amarillo where he was employed for Pioneer Millworks for 16 years. He loved his job and all the people in the company. On July 17, 1998 Darren was blessed with a daughter Kaitlyn Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his father Vernon Searcy; his paternal grandparents Victor and Maxine Searcy and his maternal grandfather Bob Blackwell.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather Joyce and Marvin Myers; brother Dale Searcy and wife Linda; sister Roberta Rockholt and husband Franklin all of Canyon; brother Seth Searcy and wife Shayla of Perryton; and brother Charles Searcy and wife Emma of Amarillo. Daughter Kaitlyn Taylor of Amarillo along with three grandchildren, three nephews and two nieces and a host of family and friends.
