Darryl Trotter

Darryl Ray Trotter, 54, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015. A celebration of life services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1208 S. Tyler Amarillo, TX with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery Darryl was born May 11, 1960 in Amarillo to Betty and Dr. Walter L. Trotter. He was an Amarillo High School graduate and served his country in the Navy aboard the USS Eisenhower. After his, service, he returned to Amarillo and got his BA in political science from West Texas A & M. Some of his hobbies included hiking, mountain climbing, tai kwon do, and singing. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and along with Paul Elms, was instrumental in forming the father and son ministry. First and foremost in Darryl's life was his relationship with his Lord and Savior. He was blessed to have an amazing voice and sang with the Four for One Quartet. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Walter L. Trotter. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Trotter; his children, Sean Tyler Trotter and Rebekah Cheri Trotter; his mother, Betty Trotter; his siblings, Sharon Humphreys and husband Max, Richard Trotter, and Stuart Trotter; his nieces and nephews, Kristin Powers, Michael Keister, Chelsea Humphreys, and Alex Humphreys; his great nieces and nephews, Kawika Martinez, Kaden Aguillar, and Camilo Aguillar; his mother-in-law, Cathy Richards; his brother-in-law, James Tompkins and wife Shanda; and his sister-in-law, Sheila Tompkins. The family suggest memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 1208 S. Tyler Amarillo, Tx 79109
