David Anthony Leyba

David was born May 22, 1961 in Clayton, NM to Berlinda Williams. He moved to Dalhart and then later to the Canyon/Amarillo/Dumas area as a teen, which is where he stayed and raised his family. David was a husband, father, uncle, grandfather, son, and friend to anyone in need. David was a hardworking man all his life, spending 10 years at SB Foot Tanning, 9 years with Levi Strauss and Co., and then 14 years at Pantex. David's passion was coaching, whether it be as a scout leader, sports coach, or just helping someone through a tough time, he was always there. David is preceded in death by his grandmother Juanita Martin and other grandparents, Niece Casey Butler, Nephew Nicholas Pena, and Nephew Jon Lee Stephens. He is survived by his wife Kristi Kirkpatrick, Sons Beau Jace Leyba, Tyson Anthony Leyba, Grandaughter Lorelei Thea Leyba, Mother Berlinda Williams, Brother Paul Leyba, Sisters Sandra Lamar, Christy and husband Armando Vargas, Aunts Dorothy and husband John Carranza, Esther and husband Bernade Carranza, Vickie and husband Albert Fuentes, Katie and husband Leroy Montoya, Uncle Steve and wife Betsy Aragon. Nieces, Shyla Russell, Charisse Hadley, April Stephens, Paige Noel, Hilary McIntosh, and Kenzie Baker. Great Nieces, Sahily Hadley, Addy Hadley, Annabelle Russell, and Charlotte Russell. Nephews, Josh Williams, David Allen Leyba, Uriah Lamar, Ron Stephens, Scott McIntosh, and Alex Pena. Great Nephews, Dayton Williams, Jace Williams, Blaze Williams, Brecken Hadley, Zildjan Leyba, Elijah Leyba, And Sebastian Russell.
