David was born on June 26th, 1962. To Gary and Jimmie Tarver in Wellington, Texas. He graduated from Samnorwood High School in 1980. He received a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University.
David was a kind, generous, and loving man with a tremendous heart. Through his Texas sized hospitality and kindness, he was great at making everyone around him feel welcome. He had a great love for God, his family, agriculture, banking, cooking, rodeo, landscaping and country music, just to name a few. But, one of his greatest joys was his role as “Dandy” to his 3 granddaughters. He was constantly teaching them how to ride a horse, bake a cake, plant a tree, or just how to be a good human, because he certainly had that part down, himself.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mack & Loraine Noel Tarver and JJ “son” & Ella Mable Mabry Hunter. His Uncle James Farley.
Those left to cherish David’s memory are his loving wife of 24 years, Michelle. His parents Gary and Jimmie Tarver; his daughter Danica McGuire and her husband Justin; his son, Dace Mahanay; his 3 granddaughters Gracyn, Finleigh, & Curri McGuire; his brother; Mark Tarver and his wife Lesa; their daughter; Leslie Wiebe & husband Korn; their son Matt Tarver & wife Addie; his brother; Dale Tarver and wife Jodi; their daughters Ashley Lorance & husband Landon; Sadie Grindstaff & husband Mason; & Candace Tabor & husband Seth; his Aunt Linda Farley; Cousins Julie Farley & Scott Farley; & 11 great nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Fill With Hope at fillwithhope.org and to the Team Gleason Foundation at teamgleason.org
