David Alan Woods

David Alan Woods, 53 years old, Amarillo, TX. Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by loved ones, on May 6, 2016.He was born July 25, 1962 in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska to Linda Allen and James Woods, but he got to Texas as soon as he could. He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Sageser, August 3, 1982. On June 14, 1983 they welcomed their first son, Mark Brandon Woods in Amarillo. Three short years later on March 4, 1986 they welcomed another son, Jeremy Alan Woods. David supported his young family by working as a mechanic at Sears Auto until 1994 when he began his career at Pantex. He loved classic cars and getting his hands dirty. He instilled his passion into his sons and taught them everything he knew. He dragged his family and a pop up camper on many vacations to Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, and South Texas, a tradition his sons will carry on. He preceded by His grandparents, Lilly and Harvey Woods and JL and June Allen, were ready to welcome him in Heaven. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie, his sons and their wives, Mark and Katie and Jeremy and Amanda, his parents, James and Linda, older brother Dale (wife Lynn) younger brother Donald (wife Paulina) and two younger sisters Wanda (husband Jim) and Aletha (husband Opie) as well as his many nieces and nephews and his sweet grandkids, Bradley, Alaina, Sawyer, and Ryan.
