Dawn Marie Stroud

Dawn was born on June 29, 1932 in Oklahoma City to Otis and Marguerite DeGraffenreid. She was raised in Anadarko, OK, graduating from Anadarko High School in 1950. She married Tommy Stroud on November 10, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA. They have celebrated over 64 years of marriage. Together they moved to Amarillo in 1962. Dawn was a past member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where she faithfully served in the choir and Sunday School. Most importantly, Dawn devoted her life to caring for and loving her family. She was a fantastic mother to 2 boys, a doting wife and a loving "Grandmomma" to her grandchildren. She loved nothing more than the company of her family. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stroud of Amarillo; 2 sons, Thomas "Sandy" Stroud and wife Lynn of Amarillo and Mark Stroud and wife Cindy of Cameron, TX; sister, Cleotis Barton of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren, David Stroud and wife Christine, Shannon Cavalier and husband Tony, Jackie Brooks and husband Colt, Tate Stroud and Lexy Stroud and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchild, Jay Mark Stroud.
