Deanna (Ellis) Jones

DeAnna E. Jones, 75, of Amarillo passed away on December 9, 2024. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

DeAnna was born August 4, 1949 in Salinas, California to Richard and Thelma Ellis.  She met and married the love of her life, Mike Jones on July 21, 1967 in Juarez, Mexico. Together they shared 54 amazing years of marriage, two beautiful children, and many treasured memories before his passing. DeAnna was a stay-at-home mom, where she raised her two children. She was incredibly talented, she made the most beautiful sculptures and vases. DeAnna was an amazing baker, from breads, cakes and pies. She won numerous awards form the Tri-State Fair for canning her tasty jelly. DeAnna enjoyed watching Marvel movies or any movie with Tom Selleck or Sam Elliot. She loved to travel with her husband all over the United States making sweet memories, they had been about everywhere but Alaska and Hawaii. DeAnna enjoyed spending time with her dear friends. She will be dearly missed be all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, William Preston; her great-grandson Zachary Green; and he loving husband Mike.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammie Green and husband Glen of Hartley; her son, Yancey Jones; her 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
