Deborah Lucille "Debbie" Basquez

Deborah Lucille “Debbie” Basquez, 61, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Debbie was born May 30, 1960 in Canyon, Texas to Billy and Virgie Cornett. She graduated from Hereford High School. She married David Basquez on September 18, 2001 in Canyon. Debbie worked for Walmart for 18 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting Pillsbury Doughboys and playing games. She and David enjoyed going to toy tractor shows. Mostly, Debbie loved spending time with her grandkids. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, David Basquez; her daughter, Sandra Mowry and husband Jay of Amarillo; three step-daughters, Virginia Olivo and husband Pepe, Nickie Basquez and Leslie Basquez all of Tulsa, OK; a sister, Linda Anderson and husband Danny of Logan, NM; two brothers, Don Cornett of Follett, and Ricky Cornett and wife Teena of Enid, OK; two granddaughters, Kadenze Mowry and Kember Mowry; seven step-grandchildren, Ricky, Hector, Brian, Victoria, Natalie, Juissia, and Andrea; and one great-granddaughter, Nala.
