Debra "Debbie" Hardin

February 21, 1945 — January 2, 2018

Debbie was born on February 21, 1945 in Muenster, TX to William and Bobbie Simmons. She was raised in Keller, Texas before moving to Fort Worth, TX where she met and married Leo Hardin in 1969. Together they moved to Amarillo, where Debbie worked as a cake decorator for over 20 years, most recently for United Deli, where she had worked for over 10 years. Debbie was an avid doll collector and was a John Wayne fanatic. Above all, she loved her family and cherished time she was able to spend with them. She is survived by her husband Leo Hardin of Amarillo; children, Laura Lynn Hicks and husband Dale of California, James "Heath" Ward and wife Linda of Fort Worth and W. Leo Hardin, II of Amarillo; step son, Allen Todd Hardin of Amarillo; brother, Jimmy Simmons and wife Sue of Boyd; sisters, Janice Lee Thompson and husband Donald of Kountze and Charlotte Marie Golden and husband Bill of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diana Ward.
