Dedra Ann Valdez-Blount

January 13, 1965 — February 19, 2015

Dedra was born on January 13, 1965 in Douglas, Wyoming to Nick and Frances Valdez. She had a love of music and was also a talented athlete, excelling in volleyball and basketball. Dedra attended school on the Arapahoe Reservation in Wyoming. She then attended Central Wyoming College majoring in Paralegal and was employed by Vincent and Vincent Attorney-at-law in Riverton, Wyoming, where she was very successful in her career. Dedra moved to Amarillo and worked at several local restaurants. She was a doting grandmother and cherished time spent with her family. In her free time, she loved to play pool and sing karaoke. She also enjoyed traveling especially to Wyoming, New Mexico, and Texas. Dedra is survived by her father Nick Valdez of Douglas, Wyoming; mother Frances McAllister of Powell, Wyoming, 2 sisters, Tammy Jerup and Cindy Gonzalez of Riverton, Wyoming, two daughters Kira Green and Sarah Broadway and grandchildren Keylee and Hunter Green, Reagen Alexis and Aydin Wells, partner Terry Stewart all of Amarillo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Pete and Elidia Valdez, her brother Michael Valdez and her daughter Trisha Broadway.
