Delois Bennett

Delois was born on January 22, 1941 in Amarillo to Carl and Lillian Akin. She finished her earthly race and entered heaven on July 23, 2014. She was known as a generous and compassionate woman and was endeared by many as a precious intercessory prayer warrior. Delois was affectionately know as "Auntie", "Aunt Loisy", "Nursy", "Mimi", "Sister", "Mom" and "Wife." She is survived by her husband, Tom "T.C." Bennett of Amarillo; son, Tom Bennett and wife Sandy of Cowden, IL; 3 daughters, Sherri Aylor and husband Jim of Amarillo, Michel Roberts and husband Russell of Fort Worth and Joy Cain and husband Jim of Amarillo; sister, Carla Stevens and husband Vondell of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and brother and sister in laws. Delois is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dana Akin and granddaughter, Jessica Ortega.
