Delores Gray

Delores Gray, 85, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday January 27, 2024. Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Sunday February 4, 2024 at Pray Amarillo.

Delores was born on October 30, 1938 in Huntingdon, PA to William and Esther Grove. She had been a part of the Amarillo and panhandle area since 1983. Delores worked for over 27 years as a Home Health Aide, and really loved helping those in need of healing and restoration. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and also enjoyed her involvement in the Red Hat Ladies Society and the Darling Dames. Among other hobbies, she loved to dance, enjoyed traveling and getting together with her family from Pennsylvania whenever she could. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family and great-grandchildren. She loved them so much; towards the end of her life, that’s all Delores wanted to do. Delores was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus. She was an avid reader, mostly reading her bible as she was dedicated to His word and researching theology.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Debra Ann Etheridge.

Those left to cherish her member are her three grandchildren, Johnny Ray III and his wife Jessica, Catherine Boatwright and Frankye Etheridge all of Amarillo; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
