Delores Humphers

Delores Tomlinson Humphers was born on December 4, 1940 to Bus and Ceresa Tomlinson in Amarillo, Texas.  She met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

In August 1959 she married her childhood sweetheart, Ronnie.  They were married for 63 years.  In 1966 they moved to the Phoenix area where they lived for 13 years and spent most weekends fishing and hunting.

In 1969 Delores went to work for AT&T (Ma Bell) as a Customer Service Representative where she worked until her retirement in 1996.  During that time, she acquired her Bachelor of Arts degree from LeTourneau University in Business Administration.

Delores loved the Lord, her family and dogs!  She was extremely generous and gave to many charities and organizations. Delores will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by brothers, Bob Tomlinson & Gay of Lubbock, Leon Tomlinson and Mitzie of Amarillo, Billy Tomlinson & Lupe of Amarillo and a sister, Connie Marchbanks & Dwight of Amarillo.  Delores is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Delores is preceded in death her husband, Ronnie, mother Ceresa Mills and stepfather James H. Mills, father Elmer (Bus) Tomlinson and stepmother Sylvia Tomlinson, sisters Linda Hall and Leona Green and brother Thomas Tomlinson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:00am at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Tommy Fulgham.
